Mode splitting of spin waves in magnetic nanotubes with discrete symmetries

We investigate how geometry influences spin dynamics in polygonal magnetic nanotubes. find that lowering the rotational symmetry of nanotubes by decreasing number planar facets, splits an increasing spin-wave modes, which are doubly degenerate cylindrical tubes. This symmetry-governed splitting is distinct form topological one recently observed Doublet modes with half-integer or integer multiple azimuthal periods split to singlet pairs lateral standing-wave profiles opposing mirror-plane symmetries. Furthermore, facilitates hybridization different but same symmetry, manifested avoided level crossings. These phenomena, unimaginable geometry, provide new tools control on nanoscale. The presented concept can be generalized nano-objects versatile geometries and order parameters, offering routes engineer dynamic response nanoscale devices.
